In the ATLAS HOTEL you can visit a spacious Finish sauna in our Wellness area. Forget stress and leave behind the everyday world as you warm yourself and relax in the peace there.
Sauna – a dry hot air bath
The word Sauna means earth cavity. The Fins, originally from the Urals, have taken their hot air baths in caves, before designing Sauna cabins.
The Sauna is a dry hot air bath. With a minimum of air moisture, the bath cabin is heated to up to 100 degrees celsius. Birch wood is seldom used to heat the Sauna fire, it is usually electrically fired. One sits or lies on a wooden bench, which are placed in varying heights within the cabin. The higher the bench is placed, the hotter it becomes.
